چکیده

The honeycomb rectangular torus is an attractive alternative to existing networks such as mesh-connected networks in parallel and distributed applications because of its low network cost and well-structured connectivity. Assume that m and n are positive even integers with n P 4. It is known that every honeycomb rectangular torus HReTðm; nÞ is a 3-regular bipartite graph. We prove that in any HReTðm; nÞ, there exist three internally-disjoint spanning paths joining x and y whenever x and y belong to different partite sets. Moreover, for any pair of vertices x and y in the same partite set, there exists a vertex z in the partite set not containing x and y, such that there exist three internally-disjoint spanning paths of G fzg joining x and y. Furthermore, for any three vertices x, y, and z of the same partite set there exist three internally-disjoint spanning paths of G fzg joining x and y if and only if n P 6 or m = 2. 2007 Elsevier Inc. Generalized honeycomb torus is Hamiltonian

Generalized honeycomb torus is a candidate for interconnection network architectures, which includes honeycomb torus, honeycomb rectangular torus, and honeycomb parallelogramic torus as special cases. Existence of Hamiltonian cycle is a basic requirement for interconnection networks since it helps map a “token ring” parallel algorithm onto the associated network in an efficient way. Ring embedding in faulty honeycomb rectangular torus

Assume that m and n are positive even integers with n 4. The honeycomb rectangular torus HReT(m,n) is recognized as another attractive alternative to existing torus interconnection networks in parallel and distributed applications. It is known that any HReT(m,n) is a 3-regular bipartite graph. We prove that any HReT(m,n) − e is hamiltonian for any edge e ∈ E(HReT(m,n)). Moreover, any HReT(m,n)−...

Honeycomb Networks: Topological Properties and Communication Algorithms

The honeycomb mesh, based on hexagonal plane tessellation, is considered as a multiprocessor interconnection network. A honeycomb mesh network with n nodes has degree 3 and diameter a 1.63 n 1, which is 25 percent smaller degree and 18.5 percent smaller diameter than the mesh-connected computer with approximately the same number of nodes. Vertex and edge symmetric honeycomb torus network is obt...

Existence of zero-energy modes in the finite edged Kitaev honeycomb model

We describe how the Kitaev honeycomb model with a finite number of sites on a torus may be easily generalised to cylindrical and rectangular topologies using a recently developed fermionisation technique. We then look for criteria which determine if zero-energy modes exist for these cases in the absence of an external magnetic field. For the cylindrical case, we determine the combination of spi...

Global Well-posedness of the Energy-critical Defocusing Nls on Rectangular Tori in Three Dimensions

The energy-critical defocusing nonlinear Schrödinger equation on 3-dimensional rectangular tori is considered. We prove that the global well-posedness result for the standard torus of Ionescu and Pausader extends to this class of manifolds, namely, for any initial data in H the solution exists globally in time.
